Meet Marcus, Mississippi’s newest hero and the proud recipient of February’s $1,000 DOK Star Award! His mission? To spread love and kindness to those in need, especially on Valentine's Day.

Through his GoFundMe campaign, Love is Universal, Marcus raised over $500 in just three days, proving that generosity knows no bounds.

What inspired Marcus to take on this challenge? A personal wake-up call—a health scare and the stress of caring for his mother, who's battling Stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Marcus decided it was time to make a difference and bring hope to others.

With his camera in hand, Marcus documented the event, capturing not only the meals but also the touching stories of those he met. He hopes to raise awareness about homelessness in their community through his photographs.

With the support of his loved ones, Marcus provided meals, roses, and other essentials to 100 homeless individuals at the Salvation Army gymnasium, spreading love and kindness everywhere they went.

As Marcus reflects on his journey, he's more determined than ever to continue making a positive impact, one act of kindness at a time.
